Internet provider recently completed $4 million fiber infrastructure build throughout Branford and the village of Stony Creek
Branford, Conn. (November 21, 2022) – GoNetspeed, a high-speed fiber internet provider, announced it will host a Town Hall informational session on Monday, December 5, for Branford residents to learn more about the availability and benefits of high-speed fiber internet. The presentation will take place at Stony Creek Congregational Church (192 Thimble Island Rd.) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
GoNetspeed recently completed its high-speed fiber internet build throughout the town, investing $4 million to better serve the community. The fiber network covers over 78 miles and can serve more than 8,900 homes and businesses in several portions of Branford, including the village of Stony Creek.
Thomas Perrone, GoNetspeed Chief Operating Officer and Paul Griswold, GoNetspeed SVP of Global Marketing, will be on-hand to deliver remarks and answer questions from attendees.
“With more people working, learning, and playing at home these days, affordable and high-quality internet service is a necessity, and demand for fiber internet across Connecticut has increased significantly in recent years,” said Thomas Perrone, GoNetspeed’s Chief Operating Officer. “We’re excited to announce the completion of our Branford build and hope this informational session will help residents and businesses better understand their internet options.”
What is Fiber Internet?
Fiber Internet offers symmetrical speeds, meaning that both download and upload are equally fast. The connectivity challenges people experience with video conferencing associated with telecommuting, online learning, and telemedicine have emphasized the importance of fast upload speeds. GoNetspeed offers the fastest residential Internet speeds, ranging from 150 Mbps to 1 Gbps (1,000 Mbps). For businesses, GoNetspeed can customize speeds beyond Gigabit capability if necessary.
GoNetspeed, a high-speed fiber Internet provider serving residential and business customers in Connecticut, Alabama, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and West Virginia, announced in January 2021 that it has formed a new partnership with Oak Hill Capital (“Oak Hill”) which will allow GoNetspeed to accelerate the expansion of its fiber network throughout the Northeastern U.S.
Adding thousands of new locations every year, GoNetspeed is one of the largest independent Internet providers in the east. For more information on the company, or to inquire about service in your residence or community, please visit www.gonetspeed.com.
