Graphic Designer and Website Specialist

The Graphic Designer and Web Developer will be responsible for creating visually stunning designs and implementing functional, user-friendly website that aligns with our brand identity and business goals. This role requires a versatile individual who can seamlessly transition between graphic design and web development tasks, ensuring a cohesive and impactful online presence for our organization.

Essential Job Duties:

Graphic Design:

• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to conceptualize and produce compelling visual assets, including but not limited to: social media graphics, banners, advertisements, brochures, and other promotional materials.
• Develop and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all design projects and marketing channels.
• Create visually engaging illustrations and infographics to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Stay updated on design trends and best practices, infusing fresh ideas into projects to maintain a modern and appealing visual identity.

Web Development:

• Design and develop responsive, user-centric websites that enhance the user experience and reflect the brand’s image.
• Utilize programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant frameworks to implement interactive and functional web elements.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and search engine visibility (SEO).
• Conduct regular website maintenance and updates to ensure content accuracy and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators and UX/UI designers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project requirements.
• Completes special projects as assigned by leadership*.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer and Web Developer or a similar role, showcasing a portfolio of successful projects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create captivating visual assets.
• Strong web development skills, including experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Familiarity with web development frameworks and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Joomla, Drupal).
• Understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work on time and within project scope.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
